Movies I like

Here is a list of movies that I like. It is not a complete list by any means. And, as I think of more movies, I will add them. I was motivated to compile this list after seeing someone on Facebook ask what the reader’s favorite three movies were. I have always found questions like that to be too narrow. There are so many movies. Each one is a work of art in its own right. Like all art, each piece affects each viewer differently. There may be works of art that speak to us at a particular point in our lives; or that speaks to us differently at various points in our lives. Not every one likes every thing. All art is for all people, but not all people find that a particular artist, or a particular work of art, speaks to them in the same way. Some works of art disturb us. Some works of art make us laugh. Some works of art make us feel good. Some works of art reveal truths about ourselves that make us uncomfortable. Some works of art we love seeing over and over again. Other works of art are best seen only once.
So here is my short list. It is bound to get added to, or even deleted from, after more thought. It is my intention to add little blurbs of thought about each movie as I am moved to do so. Perhaps one or two may even turn into a blog post of their own.
