Part 2
It is safe to say that we knew next to NOTHING about what Universal Orlando had to offer. I mean, we had been there twenty years ago, but we were sure some things must have changed.
I started looking at YouTube videos. And, by that I mean I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole that didn’t stop until almost the day we left.
The first thing that I discovered is that there are only a handful of content creators for UOR, at least in comparison to content creators for WDW. I was a little disheartened by this. We started with what was already familiar to us being WDW fans, AllEarsNet.com, which in addition to its huge website, has a million videos on YouTube.
Also, a WDW vlogger, The Tim Tracker, had videos on UOR, too.
Eventually we found The Pugh Two. A couple genuinely excited for the Universal experience. Their low-brow down-to-earth style was just what I needed.
After that there was Vincent Vision,
and All things Universal Orlando.
I recommend them all.
All of those videos really opened us up to “next steps” in our planning. After all, you can’t plan for something that you are unaware of. And, we are experienced enough to know that leaving things like this until the last minute, or worse, just showing up without any planning, was a terrible idea.
I read articles, browsed websites, and joined Facebook groups.
At the end of the day, it all paid off. We had a much better idea of where things were, what things cost, what we wanted to do and what we wanted to avoid.
